Winnie lives in Seattle with her husband and adoring puppy Milka. Growing up the only girl in a pack of three boys she learned early on how to stand her own ground and take no prisoners. She grew up on Kung Fu flicks and sour cream and peanut butter on her pancakes. In her other life she was the prima ballerina for the New York City Ballet under the artistic direction of George Balanchine. Today you can find her chasing the light and looking for the shadows in the people, animals, places and things she captures. This is her art and honor.

Babies are such a nice way to start people!
My good friends Melissa and Mick, being the great loving souls they are, opened their home and hearts to foster a two-year-old female English Bulldog, from Bulldog Haven NW, named Georgia. I spent some time with Georgia this morning, along with her Foster brother Morten, and let me tell you, Georgia is a PEACH. And she’s absolutely boy crazy too!
This is what Georgia has to say…
Hi Everyone!!! My name is Georgia; I’m just under 2 years old and was taken to a shelter from my family because they didn’t like my version of “bowling for kiddies”. Come on now…they are young, I’m young, can’t we play? I guess not. 
Maybe this is why they say getting a puppy when you have a baby isn’t the best idea…?
Anywhooooo…I’m just the cutest girl around and I’m SUPER friendly! I’m having a great time here with Foster Bro Morten and there are kitties here too. We all get along great! My only problem is the missing hair on my rear. We’re not sure what it is, could be mange, could be allergies. Either way, I hear that I was moved here so that Bulldog Haven can give me the care that the shelter couldn’t. We have an appointment at the vet in a few days and I’ll keep everyone posted on what happens! 
If it’s allergies, I may need REALLY good food and a watchful eye to make sure they don’t get out of control again.
If you think you can provide me with a princess bed, a loving home, have other brother/sister home to play with me, a full wardrobe, a pool table….WHAT?!?!? Girls just wanna have fun! Sheesh!
